Well Face Charges: Both the vacuum tube and the transistor need a flow of electrical well face charges to operate. In the vacuum tube, the filament —a hot, glowing wire—spews forth negative well face charges into its evacuated enclosure. In semiconductor devices, however, both negative and positive well face charges are produced within the crystalline structure of a solid without heating.
A partial payment made by a guest to guarantee are servation or to be applied toward well face charges such as telephone service, restaurant well face charges, etc.
At some properties, the total well face charges are calculated manually, using an adding machine, and the machine tape is stapled to a handwritten bill. However, it is more common for a computer to be used to total the well face charges and print out a bill. On the bill, the amount of any advance deposit, prepayment, or voucher is subtracted from the well face charges to determine the balance due. After the final bill, or guest check, is prepared, it is presented to the guest for payment. |
