The Museum Of Islamic: In connection with the mosques, already discussed, and the palaces, to be discussed, do not by any means overlook the Museum of Islamic Art (beside the Mosque of Suleiman the Magnificent) and the Museum of Antiquities, adjacent to the Topkapu (or Old Seraglio) Palace. One of its major works is the so-called "Sarcophagus of Alexander the Great," which is a masterpiece in Pentelic marble, regardless of the authenticity of its former contents.
Islamic World. Although the use of silver and gold seemed to have been forbidden by the Prophet, it is known from literary sources that Islamic goldsmiths' art reached a high level.
