Modern Art Viously: As foreign minister from 1906 to 1908, Hayashi concluded agreements with France, Russia, and Korea. He was created a count, having previously been made baron and viscount. In 1911-1912 he was minister of communications. He died in Tokyo on July 10, 1913.
