Lining Face Downward: Cut sheets of board with the paper lining face downward. Use a sharp, fine-toothed saw for long lengths of board. Alternatively, for short lengths you can use a sharp Knife to score deep lines in the material and then snap off the waste over a straightedge. Cut out holes for switches with a padsa'w or keyhole saw after first drilling a starting hole. Sand the cut edges lightly to remove any burrs.
Lining fabrics specially designed for curtains are available in a range of colors, as well as white and off white. If you wish to use colored lining, check the effect with the fabric you intend to use, to see that the color of the lining does not affect that of the curtains when they are hung together. Curtain lining fabrics are usually slighter narrower than curtain fabrics: when calculating quantities simply use the same number of widths of fabric.
