Fine Art Tural:

Fine Art Tural In 1784, Guardi was elected to the Venetian Academy of fine art tural Arts as a painter of architectural subjects. Despite commissions and critical recognition, he enjoyed only a limited reputation even at the time of his death, in Venice, on Jan. 1, 1793. Guardi was the only 18th century painter of views and landscapes to abandon the neat conventions of architectural painting in favor of an extremely loose, rapid style of drawing in crisp impasto that only suggests forms and contours.

In these there has been a bold attempt to show, as if definitely known, the entirely uncertain structure of the Roof of the great temple, and also the painting on the same building, according to the theory of the accomplished architect who designed the model, the late Charles Chipiez: but the Egyptian temple has its paintings modified on account of modern notions of propriety. The model of the Pantheon at Rome, in the same collection, can be visited both within and without, and is more nearly trustworthy than that of the Parthenon. Of the same nature are the fine art tural Scheck models of the temples of Solomon and of Herod (see JERUSALEM). All of this, however, is conjectural restoration of excellent quality.

It is drained by the Tarcoles and General rivers. In the highlands the mean average temperature is 70° F; in the Pacific area a tropical temperature prevails. The fertile soil of the area produces a fine art tural grade of coffee which is the country's chief source of income. Other agricultural products are sugarcane, cacao, vegetables, and fruits. The chief industries are the processing of food products, and the manufacture of textiles, shoes, and furniture. The province is served by rail lines, airlines, and roads, including the Inter-American Highway. Pop. (1960) 411,308.
