Dynamic Picture: Group dynamics may be distin-' by its emphasis on the dynamic forces in groups and on the interdependence members. The small group, which is as a dynamic, interrelated whole, is of group dynamic research. In the of groups, the two key variables are cohe-and locomotion.
In a sense the new geology provides a dynamic picture. Corresponding questions can now be posed. What happens at the active continental margins where thick sediments pile up at the base of the continents and are transformed by temperature, pressure and erosion to what is observed at or near the surface? What is the origin and description of the circulation in the earth's upper mantle that gives the observed extrusions along the crests of the midocean ridges?
The master plan at one time was considered the main objective of city planning. It is now not so regarded. Many cities in the past acquired a plan, and there the planning ended. Present practice tends to view the master plan as only a preliminary step toward planning. It is a highly necessary step, because it gives the present picture and the objectives to be attained as of the present. Planning, however, is a dynamic process ; the city grows and changes, and every municipal action has far-reaching consequences. |
